The constitutional right to abortion access for all is no longer a guarantee for women.  In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, a landmark in place for fifty years. This will now give individual states the power to set their abortion laws, and in states like Louisiana, which have so-called trigger laws on the books, abortion is now illegal.

The immediate ruling as drafted would be to end a half-century guarantee of federal constitutional protection of abortion rights and allow each state to decide whether to restrict or ban abortion.
