Ron Snyder is a sports reporter for News15.
Ron is originally from Macedonia, OH. He wouldn’t be a sportscaster if it wasn’t for his Dad handing him a baseball glove and letting him miss the school bus to watch extra highlights on SportsCenter. His first broadcasting job was doing morning announcements at Nordonia High School.
Ron graduated from Syracuse University and majored in broadcast journalism and marketing. At Syracuse, he was a part of CitrusTV, the nation’s oldest and largest student-run television station. After graduating, he worked for two years at KTXS in Abilene, TX and covered Abilene High School’s football state championship. Next, he worked at YNN in Buffalo and covered Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.
From 2012-2014, Ron worked at KNOE in Monroe and covered Louisiana Tech, Grambling, and some great high school basketball.
Ron is happy to be a part of the Acadiana community. “Show some Love” when you see him in the streets in his “Everybody knows Ron” shirts. He wants to make the world smaller and better one person at a time.
