Jason Nappi is News15's Chief Meteorologist.
News15 Chief Meteorologist Jason Nappi comes to Acadiana from Spartanburg, SC where he was a meteorologist for WSPA-TV for three years.
He has also had stops in Augusta, GA at WJBF-TV; Oak Hill, WV at WOAY-TV; Portland, ME at WMTW-TV; Manchester, NH at WMUR-TV; Elmira, NY at WETM-TV; and New York City at WPIX-TV.
In December of 2013, Nappi was awarded the AMS CBM by the American Meteorological Society. The AMS CBM is awarded to those that have passed rigorous testing in their knowledge and communication of meteorology.
In 2002 Jason graduated from the State University of New York at Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology. The weather is Jason’s biggest passion, but cooking from scratch is a close second. If you see him around Acadiana please don’t hesitate to say hello.
