Deputies were dispatched to the 17000 block of Vanicor Road, Welsh in reference to a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived they discovered the two were intoxicated and reported a physical altercation had occurred. Statements made by the engaged couple contradicted the other, and both claimed they were struck by the other. Shelley Rebecca Carter, 50 and Eddie James Latiolas, 56, were arrested and transported to the parish jail on charges of Domestic abuse battery.
