Water out for part of Opelousas, boil advisory to be in effect

OPELOUSAS, La. (KADN) - Businesses and citizens in one area of Opelousas are without water after a leak was detected Wednesday (November 10) night.

According to the mayor, those near the industrial park in the northwest section of Opelousas, off Hwy 3043, will be without water.

A city crew is onsite assessing the extent of the leak.

Repairs will start once damage is confirmed.

A boil water advisory will be in effect once reqpirs are completed.
