Vermilion Parish Schools closed Tuesday

VERMILION PARISH (KADN) - Vermilion Parish Schools are closed Tuesday, May 18 due to flooding and other issues. 

In a post on the system's Facebook page, superintendent Tommy Byler wrote that the forecast of more rain overnight also helped them make a decision. 

"We appreciate your understanding as we take the safety first precautions for our students and staff.
Stay safe," Byler wrote
