Vermilion Catholic Eagles Cleanup After Hurricane

Abbeville, LA (KADN) -- The eagles back to work at practice this week.   In Abbeville, the hurricane caused some power outages and knocked down trees.   However, when some of the players didn't even have power themselves, but they still went out to help clean up the community.

"It means alot for us,"  quarterback Drew Leger said.   "I'm honored to support our community just as they support us every Friday. show that we care about them as much as they care about us."

"Coach always preaches about helping out in the community, wide reciever John Robert Allums said. "Everything was out at my house, but  I was happy to help everyone else in the community."

The Eagles motto this season is, "Not have to, Get to."   During the pandemic, playing every snap of football is a blessing.
