United Way of Acadiana Implements New Community Engagement Role

United Way of Acadiana (UWA) is excited to announce the creation of a new Community Engagement department and has named Blair W. Green as its Director .

United Way of Acadiana (UWA) is excited to announce the creation of a new Community Engagement department and has named
Blair W. Green as its Director . Green’s new position was effective August 17. The role of Community Engagement Director oversees
the marketing and volunteer staff that focus on developing a unique and consistent brand experience for UWA stakeholders, crafting and executing strategies that enhance visibility , and composing effective messaging to enhance the community’s understanding of
UWA and all the programs it supports. “The Community Engagement department will undoubtedly elevate the experience of donors, volunteers, and followers of United Way of Acadiana, and I am confident in Blair’s leadership of this piece,” said Carlee Alm-LaBar, President/CEO. “This is all part of an effort to connect donors and volunteers to our mission–and to help engage all of us in making the Acadiana region stronger by coming together to help our most vulnerable. ”Green was most recently the Director of Marketing & Community Relations for Southern Lifestyle Development. Prior to, she worked for One Acadiana as their Director of Events from 2015-2017 after spending nearly a decade in Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY working in the Experiential Marketing field helping brands bring their messaging to consumers in creative and impactful ways. She is currently serving on the board for the Lafayette Planning and Zoning Commission and is a newly appointed Board member for Healing House. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi. “I feel very fortunate for this new position with United Way of Acadiana,” said Blair Green. “Supported by the dedicated work already being delivered by the UWA staff, the role will allow me to give back to our community, to our Acadiana region, in an impactful way.
