St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Javondalous Barnes, 24, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on November 23, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. for possession of marijuana and improper lane usage. Barnes was released on a summons to appear in court on February 23, 2021.
Earl Michael Simmons, 51, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 23, 2020, at 9:17 p.m. for domestic abuse battery (misdemeanor), and resisting arrest/officer. Simmons was booked into St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bond is set at $5,000.
