Schools in Port Barre to be virtual Wednesday due to water issues

Teachers and staff will need to report to school as normal.

PORT BARRE, La. (KADN) - Schools in Port Barre will offer virtual learning Wednesday (November 10) due to ongoing water pressure problems.

According to a release from St. Landry Parish Schools, the lower water pressure issue had not been resolved as of 2:50 p.m. Tuesday.

The virtual instruction will be available for the students of Port Barre Elementary, Middle and High Schools.

Teachers and staff will need to report to school as normal.

Students who attend SLATS, CAPS, BIOMED, and WCTC will attend school as normal.
