PORT BARRE, La. - In a Facebook post, Port Barre Police Chief Deon Boudreaux announced he tested positive for COVID-19.

He announced his symptoms began Sunday night. The Chief addressed rumors of being in rehab saying, " No I wasnt in rehab like a certain person was stirring up a rumor. I found that hilarious because I don’t even drink, smoke and rarely take over the counter pain meds."

He stated his youngest was sick as well and asked for prayers for himself and his family.
