LAFAYETTE, LA - Ginger Sprout Plant Co. sales begin to increase online in the midst of covid-19. Many were using their plants for peace and comfort.

“It happens with everyone. If you have one , you are going to get more.” Julie Wolfe Said.

The increase in residents buying plants during the pandemic is something that the owner of Ginger Sprout Plant Co. never saw coming.

“Two and three months into covid, I decided to build my website and it was very unexpected. Many people developed a love for plants during Covid because it gave them something to focus on, and it gave them another level of self care.” Amber Wolfe Said.

Plant owner Julie Wolfe says talking to her plants is therapeutic when she watches them grow.

“As I'm watering , and if I see something that has a yellow leaf. I'm like come on girl. What are you doing ? What is happening right now? If they're doing well , I'll look at it like go girl. Just different things like that. it just adds to your life in that way.” Julie Wolfe Said.

Millennials are also taking part in this increase with plant ownership. The owner of Ginger Plant Co says that she wants to make sure that her customers are going home with healthy plants so they could feel whole and at peace. To learn more about Ginger Plant Co. click here
