BATON ROUGE, La.– An estimated 15-car pile up turned deadly after claiming the life of a 13-year-old girl on the Old Bridge in Baton Rouge, La. on Tuesday morning, according brproud.com.
Witnesses say some tractor trailers are on top of vehicles.
According to a witness, there was a train on the track and traffic on the bridge came to a stop, causing congestion to back up on the Old Bridge at the time of the crash.
Drivers did not have enough time to come to a stop when crossing over the hump, which caused the pile up.
According to DOTD, "US 190 East remains closed on the Mississippi River Bridge due to an accident".
