VERNON PARISH, La. (AP) — Authorities say three eastern Louisiana residents have been charged with human trafficking and rape in connection with the alleged sex trafficking of a girl over the span of four years.
Everett West, Dina Guidry and Bobby Tisdale were arrested and charged on Monday after Vernon Parish authorities conducted a monthslong investigation into the sexual abuse accusations.
Sheriff Sam Craft says the girl spoke with officials and told them the abuse had been ongoing from when she was 8 to 11. Detectives believe that the suspects provided sexual contact with the child to other individuals in exchange for money or drugs.
