UPDATE 2/16/2021 10:24AM: Lafayette– Rolling power outages have been suspended at this time by the energy regulators in the Acadiana region. If LUS customers are currently experiencing a power outage, please call (337) 291-9200 or if experiencing a water issue, please call (337) 291-5700.

Lafayette, LA (February 16, 2021) – Due to the extremely low temperatures and the increase in demand for power, the energy regulators for the Acadiana region and Louisiana have requested mandatory rolling blackouts from all the utilities to alleviate the amount of load on the electric grid system.

Customers will experience short term outages for around 20 minutes at a time throughout the day until we receive notification that it is no longer necessary.
