Man Arrested in Baldwin on Second Degree Murder Charge After Shooting Wife

On Oct. 21 at approximately 12:48 p.m., the Baldwin Police Department responded to a call in reference to a female subject who had been shot by her husband.

On Oct. 21 at approximately 12:48 p.m., the Baldwin Police Department responded to a call in reference to a female subject who had been shot by her husband. Angel LeBlanc informed authorities that she had recieved a call from her father, Sonny LeBlanc Sr., that he had shot his wife, Sandra LeBlanc. The incident took place in Baldwin, La.

The suspect, Sonny LeBlanc Sr., was located near Dixon Funeral Home on Main Street and was taken into custody by authorities. LeBlanc Sr., has been charged with Second-Degree Murder. 

Upon arriving, the decendent, Sandra LeBlanc, was found to have been shot in her chest.

There is an ongoing investigation as to the cause of this tragedy.
