BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says it will soon stop printing waterproof hunting and fishing licenses. Starting March 15, licenses will be printed on regular printer paper or a digital copy can be emailed. A news release Thursday said the change is because the equipment used to print on waterproof cards is aging. It said digital licenses can be stored on a smart device and used in the field. However, it notes that deer and turkey tags must be printed for use in the field.
