The Louisiana mainstreet recovery program.. it's a grant that is specifically for small businesses. The grant launched on Tuesday but from now until August 17 priority is given to those businesses who haven't received any federal assistance. The Louisiana State Treasurer, John Schroeder, believes this program is a way to level the playing field. Though this program is a step in the right direction, Schroeder believes it's not a permanent solution. With the limited funds available, he's encouraging those who are eligible to sign up as soon as they can.
