KADN- As family members and activists continue to ask for answers when it comes Treyford Pellerins death, local leaders organized a demonstration at Lafayette City Hall, organizers had this message for Lafayette's Mayor President, Josh Guillory.

"We are here today to discuss the fact that we have a Mayor-President, who last night decided to think lower of the family than even mentioning him in the press release," Jamal Taylor, NAACP.

Jamal Taylor says he's disappointed in what he calls poor leadership and in-sensitivity to the Pellerin family.

"We have decided to establish a team of people to look at recalling him from office."

Taylor, also issued a stern warning for those who came to cause trouble.

"I spoke to the mother a minute ago. I want all of you to hear me say this. She said, she does not want you tearing up the city. If you are one of these bad actors, dragging people to the street, setting fires, you're not welcome."

Close to one hundred peaceful protester were welcomed at Sundays demonstration. Attorney Sam Flugence says it's the communitys voice that ignites change.

Well it's the community's cause. It's the entire community's cause, not just the minority community. It's the city of Lafayette's cause.

Members of the NAACP say they will be open to discuss their plans on recalling the Mayor-President in the coming weeks.
