Lafayette has always been a very charitable city. We always rally to help those in need especially in times of tragedy and natural disasters. Hurricane Laura has devastated Lake Charles, Vermilion Parish, among others.
The amount of devastation that this hurricane has brought will not be a quick recovery That is why Avanti Senior Living, Half Shell Oyster House, The Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Subway Sandwich Shop, and Element Event Rental are coming together to begin a donation drive.
The people and businesses impacted are vast. Items needed include the following:
· Cleaning Supplies
· Hand Sanitizer
· Disposable Gloves
· Disposable Masks
· Garbage Bags
· Rakes
· Shovels
· Toiletries including Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Shampoo, Soap, Towels, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels,
· NON - PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS. – No Clothing or Perishable Food Items Will Be Accepted
Collection of these items will begin Thursday, September 18, 2020. Please Bring Your Donations to the Following Drop Off Locations:
Drop off at the Front Door of Avanti, located a 5522 Ambassador Caffery, Youngsville
Half Shell Oyster House located at 109 Old Camp Road, Lafayette
Subway Sandwich Shop located at 1505 Bonin Road, Broussard,
Subway Sandwich Shop located at located at 3621 Ambassador Caffery, Lafayette.
