The Lafayette Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a theft suspect.
On November 7, 2020 at approximately midnight, a black male suspect entered the parking lot of 2017 West Pinhook Road in an older model Tan Gran Marquis. The suspect then proceeded underneath the victim’s vehicle, and removed the catalytic converter utilizing a handheld torch. The suspect fled the scene. The suspect may be in possession of several catalytic converters as there were multiple vehicles in the parking lot with missing catalytic converters.
