Lafayette, LA –Lafayette firefighters responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Ike B Street around 4:49 a.m. this morning. The owner of the dwelling called 911 reporting her home was filled with smoke. Approximately 25 firefighters responded to the scene. When firefighters arrived, the back of the single family dwelling was fully engulfed in flames. The occupant of the home was safely outside at a neighbor’s house.
