Buses for the Lafayette Parish School System Magnet Academies will utilize assigned satellite stops instead of allowing students the flexibility to choose a satellite stop for the 2020-2021 school year. This is to address transportation issues related to the new guidelines LPSS has put into place in response to COVID-19. Parents/guardians are encouraged to visit
https://jpams.lpssonline.com/progress to sign into the LPSS Parent Portal to determine a student’s assigned satellite location for AM and PM pick up and drop off. As a reminder, David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy students will be picked up and dropped off at
the satellite location assigned to them. Buses will no longer take students back to their zoned schools and will eliminate one leg of the transit process. Parents can view a list of all satellite stops for Magnet Academies here: ibit.ly/M9qX . If parents/guardians have questions or need further assistance, please call the Transportation Call Center at (337) 521-RIDE from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. As we move forward, we thank parents and guardians for their patience as we continue determining the best plans for ensuring that staff and students can return to a safe environment and adjust to these new safety procedures.
