On Nov. 26 at approximately 11 p.m., officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 200 Blk of Verdun Street.
While on scene of a call, officers heard several gunshots in the area of Verdun Street and Marne Street. While canvassing the area, one victim was located with a non-life threatening to his upper torso.
Medical assistance was provided to the victim prior to being transported to a local hospital.
The investigation revealed that two male subjects were chasing a third male subject. There was gun fired exchanged between both parties. The victim was an innocent bystander.
The suspects could not be located.
This investigation is ongoing.
