Kaplan, LA (KADN) -- One first down at a time Caden Campisi is ready to carry the Pirates to Victory. He leads the team in rushing yards with 680 and has five touchdowns.
"I like the fans' energy as I am running down the field and scoring a touchdown and what not," Caden said.
Caden is 5'8'' and 175 pounds. His new coach Cory Brodie actually didn't realize who he was at first just looking at him.
"I was like he must be wearing some baggie clothes right now," coach Brodie said. "But not many kids and run 30 carries a game and be ready to go the next Monday like he is."
Caden is such a team player he even is the team's long snapper. Coach Brodie has to practically push him off the field.
"Just practice makes perfect," Caden said. "Always practice 110 percent at practice to execute at 110 percent on the field."
"He gets 30 carries a game and he always is the first one to step up on scout team and I'm the one that has to go and rip him off some plays on the scout team," Coach Brodie said. "He just wants to give us the best look possible."
Caden is also on the Kaplan baseball and powerlifting team. He's willing to gulp down any challenge in front of him.
