A new partnership is being forged to further the work of revitalizing the historic Holy Rosary Institute Campus. The Holy Rosary redevelopment board and the Lafayette Public Trust Financing Authority announces the approval of a three year agreement with teh Holy Rosary to fund the hiring of an executive director. The Holy Rosary Institute was founded as a Catholic School for African American youth but closed in 1993 and its historic building on Carmel Avenue fell into disrepair. So far, 4 million dollars have been raised for the project.
