Fatal crashes increasing throughout the state has other residents blaming it on road conditions.
“From here to Lafayette to Breaux Bridge , I think those are very poor locations. You still have people that get in a hurry, and they want to pass you and run by you. I guess people are really in a hurry.” Garland Vincent Said.

“A lot of people point at the construction zone and detail as being the problem area while we do have some issues there. It's extremely important that people drive and very much obey those speed limits and those posted signs that are up there. obviously, it's a 60-speed limit area. Do we see people exceeding that speed limit ? Sure, we do. Does it play a factor in some of these crashes? absolutely it does. “ Thomas Gossen Said.
Trooper Thomas Gossen says that while traveling on i -10 be sure to watch your surroundings at all times to avoid getting into a crash.
“If you just plan on leaving your house and going to the store. number one stay alert, keep your eyes on the road and don't get distracted inside your car and be a defensive driver and number two always wear that seatbelt.” Thomas Gossen Said.
Thomas Gossen says if you are traveling on I-10 be aware of the changes and signs on the road as many people get on the road for vacation trips.
