Lafayette, LA – Hurricane Delta left a path of extensive damage throughout Louisiana and left 50,000 LUS customers without power. Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) has been able to restore 83% of affected customers since Hurricane Delta.
LUS estimates as of 8 a.m. CST, Monday morning, 8,200 customers are currently without power. LUS line crews made additional progress in the night and were able to restore an additional 1,700 customers from Sunday evening’s estimate.
As a safety reminder, line crews and tree trimming crews will be working in your neighborhoods and in roadways, so please keep a safe distance for your safety and theirs.
We understand how disruptive and inconvenient the outages are and continue to thank everyone for patience while LUS, its mutual aid workers and contractors diligently work to complete the restoration.
