Lafayette, LA – Due to the impact of Hurricane Delta, BBR Creative is moving the date of their second annual CreateAthon event to November 5 - 6, 2020. The pro bono event originally scheduled for October 15 - 16, will consist of a 24+ hour marketing marathon where BBR shuts down regular agency operations to provide services to selected nonprofit partners.
The three nonprofit partners for CreateAthon 2020 are:
Acadiana Regional Coalition for Homeless and Housing
Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana
Baton Rouge Blues Festival & Foundation
Even though the date has changed, the creative marathon will remain the same. The BBR team will be providing the three nonprofits with services including graphic design, media planning, social media, public relations, event creative, marketing collateral and advertising campaign materials. AAF-Baton Rouge volunteers and partner agency Echo Tango are also shifting their schedules to continue to lend their services and support.
“If 2020 has taught us nothing else, it’s to be adaptable,” says Emily Burke, vice president of account service at BBR. “We are prioritizing our staff’s ability to get back into our homes and cleaned up from the storm in the short-term. Rescheduling the date allows us to focus our energy only on CreateAthon during that time and to serve our nonprofit partners which we are excited to do!”
In 2019, BBR provided marketing services for Miles Perret Cancer Services, the Children’s Museum of Acadiana and The Family Tree Information, Education & Counseling Center valued at $130,000 in combined projects.
