Gov. Edwards Announces Boards and Commissions Appointments

BATON ROUGE — Today, Gov. John Bel Edwards announced his appointments to several Louisiana boards and commissions.

Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners
The Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners serves to license and regulate chiropractors in the state of Louisiana.

Denise D. Rollette D. C. of Hammond has been reappointed to the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Rollette is the owner of Rollette Chiropractic Center.

*Correction: Last week's announced appointment of Rollette to the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana was inaccurate.

Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council
The Louisiana Developmental Disability Council’s mission is to lead and promote advocacy, capacity building, and systemic change to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Rashad D. Bristo of Mansfield has been appointed to the Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council. Bristo is a community relations representative with Amerigroup Louisiana and will serve the board as a parent of a child with developmental disabilities.

Jill E. Egle of New Orleans has been appointed to the Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council. Egle will serve the board as an individual with developmental disabilities.

Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board
The Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board provides information and recommendations from the perspective of advocacy groups, service providers and parents.

Kate M. Shipley of New Orleans has been appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Shipley is the executive director of the Louisiana Alliance of Children’s Advocacy Centers and will represent Louisiana Children’s Advocacy Centers.

Pontchartrain Levee District
The purpose of the Pontchartrain Levee District is to operate, maintain and protect the federal levee system(s), specifically authorized and constructed flood control and hurricane risk reduction projects. The district’s function is to ensure the Mississippi River Levee and Hurricane Protection Levee structural integrities are not compromised in any way so that they will function as constructed and designed by the federal government when necessary to prevent or mitigate flood damages throughout the six east bank parishes of this district.

Ricky P. Bosco of Destrehan has been reappointed to the Pontchartrain Levee District. Bosco is the president of Bosco Brothers and will represent St. Charles Parish.

Seneca D. Boudreaux of Gramercy has been reappointed to the Pontchartrain Levee District. Boudreaux is an educational diagnostician with the St. James Parish School Board and will represent St. James Parish.

Matthew T. Butler of Baton Rouge has been appointed to the Pontchartrain Levee District. Butler is the vice president of Atlas Technical Consultant and will represent East Baton Rouge Parish.

Randy T. Clouatre Sr. of St. Amant has been appointed to the Pontchartrain Levee District. Clouatre is a maintenance manager at REG Geismar and will represent Ascension Parish.

Claude A. Granier III of Destrehan has been reappointed to the Pontchartrain Levee District. Granier is a project manager at Apache Industrial Services.

Percy Hebert Jr. of St. Gabriel has reappointed to the Pontchartrain Levee District. Hebert is retired and will represent Iberville Parish.

Blaine J. Sheets of Gonzales has been reappointed to the Pontchartrain Levee District. Sheets is the owner of Specialized Industrial Maintenance and will represent the Canadian National/formerly Louisville, New Orleans, and Texas Railway Company.

Allen J. St. Pierre Sr. of Reserve has been reappointed to the Pontchartrain Levee District. St. Pierre is retired and will represent St. John the Baptist Parish.

Capital Area Groundwater Conservation District
The mission of the Capital Area Ground Water Conservation District is to provide for the efficient administration, conservation, orderly development, and supplementation of groundwater resources in the parishes of East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana. The board develops, promotes, and implements management strategies to provide for the conservation, preservation, protection, recharging, and prevention of waste of the groundwater resources over which it has jurisdictional authority.

Patrick J. Hobbins of Port Allen has been appointed to the Capital Area Groundwater Conservation District. Hobbins is a senior process engineer at Placid Refining Company and will represent West Baton Rouge Parish.

Louisiana State Racing Commission
The Louisiana Racing Commission reviews, regulates, governs and supervises all forms of horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering in the State of Louisiana.

Patrick R. Bernard D.V.M. of Carencro has been reappointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Bernard is a retired veterinarian and will serve at-large.

Leslie Bouie of New Orleans has been appointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Bouie is a consultant and will represent the 2nd Congressional District.

Thomas B. Calvert of Metairie has been reappointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Calvert is an attorney and will serve at-large.

Lane T. Cortez of Lafayette has been appointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Cortez is a salesman at Home Furniture. Cortez will serve at-large and as an owner of racehorses which participate in any race meeting licensed by the Commission.

Donald R. Cravins Sr. of Arnaudville has been reappointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Cravins is the owners of Don Cravens Insurance and will represent St. Landry Parish.

Eddie J. Delahoussaye of Lafayette has been appointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Delahoussaye is a retired thoroughbred jockey. Delahoussaye will represent the 3rd Congressional District and as an owner of racehorses which participate in any race meeting licensed by the Commission.

K. R. “Ron” Finkelstein O.D. of Metairie has been reappointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Finkelstein is an optometrist at Vision Works and will represent the 1st Congressional District.

Roy L. Griggs of Shreveport has been appointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Griggs is the CEO of Griggs Enterprises and will represent the 4th Congressional District.

Benjamin J. Guilbeau Jr. of Lake Charles has been reappointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Guilbeau is an attorney at the Stockwell Law Firm and will represent Calcasieu Parish.

Michael R. McHalffey of Benton has been reappointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. McHalffey is a real estate appraiser and will represent Bossier Parish.

Louis S. Reine of Baton Rouge has been reappointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Reine is the president of the Louisiana American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations. Reine will represent the 6th Congressional District and as an owner of racehorses which participate in any race meeting licensed by the Commission.

Deano B. Thornton of Winnfield has been appointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Thornton is the CEO of Winn Community Health Center and will represent the 5th Congressional District.

Bob F. Wright of Lafayette has been reappointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission. Wright is the managing partner at Domegeaux, Wright, Roy, Edward, and Colomb Law Group. Wright will represent Orleans Parish and will serve as Chairman.

Cybersecurity Education Management Council
The Cybersecurity Education Management Council’s mission is to fund degree and certificate programs in the field of cybersecurity in order to meet workforce needs.

William E. Bradley III of Choudrant has been appointed to the Cybersecurity Education Management Council. Bradley is the owner of BRLL.

Daphne E. Williams Ph.D. of Shreveport has been appointed to the Cybersecurity Education Management Council. Williams is an associate professor at Grambling State University
