UPDATE - On December 30, 2020, at 11:51 a.m., the Franklin Police Department received information of the whereabouts of the missing juvenile, Elijah Smith.

Elijah, who was reported missing on Dec. 29, 2020, was located safely.

The Franklin Police Department would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone who assisted in the efforts to locate Elijah.


The Franklin Police Department is asking for assistance in locating a missing juvenile. Elijah Smith, 16, was reported missing by his guardian. Elijah was last seen by a guardian on December 28, 2020, leaving his residence on foot in the area of Ibert Street. Elijah was last seen wearing a white shirt, white pants, white shoes, and a green and black Nike backpack.

Elijah Smith is described as a black male, approximately 5'06", weighing approximately 136 pounds, short black hair and has brown eyes.
