Four Lafayette Students Win First Place In Robotics Competition

Four students find out they placed first in a Jr. Robotics virtual competition after Covid-19 cancels the in-person competition.

Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy students, Chloe, Conner, James, and Seth, competed in the regional and state Jr Beta Competitions, making it all the way to Nationals. The national competition was originally planned for June, but Covid-19 threw a wrench in the competition. The team submitted a video presentation of their robot and after a few weeks of waiting, they tuned into the virtual awards ceremony where they discovered they were the National Champions!
