(St. Martinville, LA.) - Sheriff Becket Breaux announced that Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred shortly before 5 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 in the 1000 block of Courville Road in Breaux Bridge, La.
An investigation into the allegations was initiated, and during the course of the investigation; Deputies learned that the victim was leaving a party at a residence when he was physically assaulted and robbed by five individuals.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and released at a local hospital.
At the culmination of the investigation, Warrants of Arrests were obtained and following the execution of the warrants; the following five individuals were arrested and charged as follows:

Shamar Calais, 20, Arnaudville, LA.

- 1 count-LA R.S. 14:24/64 Principal to Armed Robbery (Felony)
Sherman Calais, 22, Arnaudville, LA.
- 1 count-LA. R.S. 14.64 Armed Robbery (Felony)
- 1 count-LA. R.S. 14.34.1 Second Degree Battery (Felony)
Triston Meche, 19, Breaux Bridge, LA.
- 1 count-LA. R.S. 14:34.1 Second Degree Battery (Felony)
- 1 count-LA R.S. 14:24/64 Principal to Armed Robbery (Felony)
Rashaun Williams, 20, Arnaudville, LA.
- 1 count-LA. R.S. 14:34.1 Second Degree Battery (Felony)
- 1 count-LA. R.S. 14:24/64 Principal to Armed Robbery (Felony)
Rashaun Williams was also booked on the following unrelated charges in connection with outstanding warrants for previous offenses:
- 2 counts-LA. R.S. 14:67.15-Theft of a Firearm
- 1 count-LA. R.S. 14:35 Simple Battery
- CCRP 349.1-Failure to Appear
Following their arrests, they were all booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges.
