Lafayette, La. - A Lafayette family started a new local campaign aimed at using love to bring awareness to covid-19 and remaining safe during the pandemic.

Peter Guarisco IV and his family started the 'Mask Up Y'all' campaign after an unpleasant experience with the funeral home in which they were mourning the death of his father, Peter "David" Guarisco III, who passed away from covid-19 earlier this month.

Guarisco and his family hope to bring more awareness and seriousness to the pandemic so that other families don't have to lose their loved ones to covid-19.

You can follow their campaign Facebook page here.
