Ed Orgeron Reviews LSU Scrimmage

Posted: Sep 9, 2020 7:11 AM

Baton Rouge, LA (KADN) -- Governor John Bel Edwards announced LSU is looking into limiting attendance this season to just 25-percent of capacity at Tiger Stadium this season because of the pandemic.  The LSU football team's schedule has already been pushed back as a result of the pandemic.  With a two week wait until the opening game against  Mississippi State,  the Tigers are continuing to scrimmage each other.

"I thought our team did very well on both sides of the ball," Coach Orgeron explained. "The defense had more pressure than usual. We had a large number of would have been sacks, but obviously I called it early.  There were some one-on-one wins and protection breakdowns. Our offense made some big plays."

Coach Orgeron is encouraging his players to manufacture their own energy during games.  He says the team that can pump themselves up with or without fans will be succcessful on Saturdays.
