IBERIA PARISH, LA - Iberia Parish President m. Larry Richard, has declared a state of local emergency for the parish. The declaration states Iberia Parish, is currently facing the potential threat of widespread damage, injury , and/or loss of life or property from severe weather in the form of heavy winds, rains, storm surges and flooding caused by significant weather system resulting from Tropical Depression No. 9 (Ida) currently located in the Carribean Sea and quickly moving in the direction of the Gulf of Mexico.

Therefore, all Emergeny Operations Plans are activated, and the Iberia Parish Louisiana, Office of Emergency Preparedness and Homeland Security is the designated Point of contact.
