PORT FOURCHON, La. (KADN) - The Seacor Power crewmember found dead after a lift boat capsized has been identified as David Ledet.
Nola.com reports that authorities confirmed the name to them. A cousin of Ledet also made a post on Facebook identifying him.
Ledet was one of the 19 crewmembers abord the lift boat when it left Port Fourchon Tuesday afternoon. It was on the way to Main Pass.
Four men from Acadiana were also on the boat. They're identified as Jay Guevara, Gregory Walcott, Quinon Pitre and Dylan Daspit.
The United States Coast Guard continues its search for the missing crewmembers.
Coast Guard watchstanders received an emergency position indicating radio beacon notification at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday of a distressed 129-foot commercial lift vessel. The watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast, which multiple good Samaritan boatcrews responded to.
