Corona-Virus Relief Package

President Joe Biden signed the 1.9 trillion dollar coronavirus relief package this means many of you will soon be getting money in your accounts.

Many americans can expect money to be deposited into their accounts over the coming days.... some already seeing that deposit as early as tonight.
President Joe Biden says passing this coronavirus relief package was his first priority.

I spoke with two students at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. They tell me they plan to use the money as an emergency fund.

President Joe Biden says giving middle-class workers a fighting chance is important, and the american rescue plan gives them the opportunity to get back on their feet.

The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the unemployment rate dropped to 6.9 percent months after the pandemic began. the package also includes a three hundred dollar extension to unemployent benefits.

Democrats say it's necessary in the push for economic recovery... as more than 20 million people are still getting some form of unemployment benefits, and millions are struggling to afford food and housing.

Taylor Welch says she believes the stimulus will be beneficial for everyone - including college students.

Legislators are reminding everyone that the payments won't all go out at once. if your bank information is on file with the IRS, you'd be first in line. Others may get paper checks or prepaid debit cards in the mail.
