Lafayette, La. - Two local community advocates came together on Sunday to honor the lives lost to covid-19 in Lafayette.

Ali Roberts and Stacey Conrad came up with the idea of a memorial after seeing a Facebook post that mentioned New Orleans doing something similar.

St. Barnabas Episcopal Church donated the land for the memorial and Rev. Michael J. Bordelon blessed the flags.

If you would like to visit and leave a flag, the memorial is located at 400 Camellia Blvd in front of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
