During the May 6, 2021, council meeting, the city of Scott unanimously renewed its contract for emergency and non-emergency service with Acadian Ambulance. The renewal ensures that residents of Scott have service for the next three years.

The renewal was supported unanimously by the city council members, Mayor Jan Scott Richard, Police Chief Chad Leger and Fire Chief Chad Sonnier.

“We are proud to continue to serve the residents of Scott and thank the city council, Mayor Richard, Police Chief Leger and Fire Chief Sonnier for their trust in our team,” said Acadian Ambulance Regional Vice President Troy Guidry.

“The City of Scott is fortunate to have a partnership with Acadian Ambulance. Acadian and its leadership, administrators and employees are consummate professionals focused on providing quick, efficient and immediate care to our residents and businesses alike. We look forward to continuing our working relationship to provide public safety response to our citizens,” said Scott Mayor Jan-Scott Richard.

Acadian Ambulance is one of the largest ambulance services in the nation, providing transportation and medical service to areas in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Tennessee. They are employee-owned and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services.
