SCOTT

Christmas fun coming to West Village in Scott on Saturday, December 18th.
December 6, 2021

Scott, LA – West Village, the new, 143-acre mixed-use development in the works off of Apollo Road Extension in Scott, Louisiana will have its first Christmas event on Saturday, December 18th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Christmas at West Village presented by Robbie Breaux & Team is free, family friendly, and open to the public. Join West Village for a fun evening with live music by Chubby Carrier, free pictures with Santa, shopping at the local pop up shops, plenty of kids activities and to see the official Coca-Cola Christmas truck on-site.

Dec. 4 - Delcambre Seafood and Farmers Market - First Saturday of the month from February to December except July. Dec. 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 28 - Teche Area Farmers Market - Experience a harvest of delicious homegrown produce and homemade products by area farmers, artists and crafters. Also included are handmade cypress yard objects, homemade bread and fresh baked goods, ceramics, honey, jellies, jams, herbs, candies, handcrafted wooden bowls and utensils, birdhouses, garden benches and much more. Dec. 9 - Rwandan Genocide Survivor Speech - Immaculée Ilibagiza, a Rwandan genocide survivor and New York Times best-selling author of Left To Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Genocide, is scheduled to speak in New Iberia. Dec. 10 - 11 - Rwandan Genocide Survivor Retreat - Immaculée Ilibagiza, a Rwandan genocide survivor and New York Times best-selling author of Left To Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Genocide, will host a retreat in New Iberia. The retreat includes Immaculee's witness of the power of prayer, miracles of the Rosary, and inspirational music. Admission. Dec. 11 - Very Berry Christmas Quest - The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with local businesses, will be hosting a family scavenger hunt to celebrate the Christmas season in Iberia Parish. Families will pick up goody bags filled with coupons and holiday treats at the chamber's office, along with their quest cards which track the activities they participate in throughout the day. Families able to collect seven stickers on their cards will be entered in a drawing to win prizes. Admission. Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, 111 W. Dec. 11 - Queen City Christmas Parade - Bayou Traditions Inc. will present the annual Downtown New Iberia Christmas parade. 100,000+ lights have been installed along the parade route, which runs from Torrido Village to Jefferson Street. There will be Christmas floats, dance schools and band performances along with plenty of Christmas throws. The event culminates with a boat parade and fireworks on Bayou Teche from the Lewis Street bridge (Bayou Landing) to the Jefferson Street bridge (Pelicans on the Bayou). Dec. 15 - Les Cadiens du Teche Cajun Dance - Every third Wednesday of the month.
