Lafayette, La (KADN) - A California man is in the Lafayette Parish Jail accused of driving while intoxicated and causing a four-vehicle accident that claimed the life of a fetus.

Thirty-seven-year-old Noah Sanchez is facing numerous charges in connection with the crash Monday night on Ambassador Caffery including OWI and third degree feticide.

A Lafayette police spokeswoman says three people were transported with minor to moderate injuries including a pregnant victim.
Sanchez is being held without bond at this time.

A GoFundMe was started to help Alexis Castille and her three children after they were hit by an alleged drunk driver, causing Castille to lose her unborn baby. In just one day, over $5,000 has been raised to help and all funds will go towards medical bills for the family as they continue to heal.
