St. Martinville, LA -Sheriff Becket Breaux announces that on December 25, 2020, Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a local hospital in reference to a report of alleged physical abuse of an infant.
An investigation into the allegations was initiated, and during the course of the investigation, Deputies learned that the infant had sustained several broken bones. At the culmination of the investigation, a Warrant of Arrest was obtained for Cole Horton, 25, Breaux Bridge, LA. Today, January 14, 2021, following the execution of the warrant, he was arrested and charged as follows:
1 count-RS14:93.2.3—Second Degree Cruelty to Juveniles (Felony)
Following his arrest, he was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges. At the time of this release, no bond had been set.
