Bougie Bar Lafayette Giving Back To Hurricane Laura Victims

Local candle-making venue, The Bougie Bar, is raising money in response to Hurricane Laura relief through a fundraiser with the United Way of Acadiana.

For every person that attends a party in September, The Bougie Bar will donate $5 to the United Way of Acadiana. So far, The Bougie Bar has raised over $800 in the month of September. Owners Jamie and Rusty Phillips believe this contribution is crucial during a time when neighboring cities such as Lake Charles need assistance.

“We raised money for the United Way of Acadiana a few months back through our wholesale candle business, Bourbon Royalty Candle Company, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve received so much support from people in and around Louisiana that we feel it’s only right to give back in any way that we can. With the growing success of this fundraiser, we see multiple opportunities to give back through our business in the future.” -Jamie Phillips, Owner
