Students at 5 St. Landry Parish schools move to remote learning due to COVID-19

In person learning is expected to resume on January 18th.

ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KADN) - Arnaudville Middle School, Central Middle School, Opelousas Junior High, Opelousas High and Biomed students will move to remote learning starting Thursday, Janaury 13, due to COVID-19.

According to the St. Landry Parish School System, "a number of students and staff members" are in quarantine or isolation.

In person learning is expected to resume on January 18th.

The district is working to issue students devices on Wednesday. If a student didn't recieve a device and needs one, parents are asked to call the school to arrange pick-up.

Students will log into Google Classrooms for classes.

Staff memebers who are not under quarantine or isolation will teach from the school building.
