CROWLEY, La - The Acadia Parish Police Jury and the Acadia Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness are urging residents to conserve on water as much as possible tonight and over the next few days. Freezing temperatures have caused a spike in water usage and parish water systems are struggling to keep water pressure at a sufficient level. Reducing water usage will allow water systems to regain ample water pressure levels. Residents are urged to reduce water usage by turning off any faucets left running overnight, reducing dishwasher and washing machine usage, and reducing time spent showering.
