A woman who's vehicle drove off the top deck of a Shreveport parking garage has died.

The woman, 21 year old Robin Alexander Lyons, died from her injuries Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened just before 3:00 am at the Boomtown Casino/Hotel parking garage in the 300 block of Riverside Drive.

Her vehicle, a late model Chevy Caprice, crashed through a barrier of steel cables and fell approximately 60 ft. onto the garage's concrete exit ramp.

The vehicle landed on its roof, pinning Lyons inside.

Bossier City emergency officials used the jaws of life to remove her from the wreckage.

She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

Police say that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, and that Lyons was wearing a seat belt.

No one else was injured in the accident.

The incident is under investigation.
