West Nile and high temps reason for early morning spraying
EAST BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — East Baton Rouge Parish Mosquito and Rodent Control is stepping up efforts to keep the mosquito population in check.
They've announced they'll be conducting an early morning aerial spray mission this week.
The reason: increased West Nile virus activity, and the high nighttime temperatures we've been dealing with lately.
The agency's plane will be making an additional pass-over between 6:00 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning, spraying the northern section of Baker Brown Heights.
