WANTED: ‘Violent sexual predator’ from Texas sighted in several Louisiana cities

The reward for a Texas fugitive who has connections to Louisiana has increased to $13,000 for information that leads to his arrest.

John Michael Enard, 59, is listed on the Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list for Texas. He allegedly removed his ankle monitor back in January 2013 and fled from a Houston halfway house.

Officials say Enard is a “sexually violent predator” and is at a “high risk” to reoffend. He has family connections in Lafayette, Houston and California.

“There have been reported sightings of Enard in Hammond, Araudville and Carencro; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Clovis, New Mexico,” a press release noted. “Anyone found to have been helping Enard avoid arrest will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Enard is wanted for parole violation and felony failure to comply with civil commitment requirements. His past convictions include Aggravated Rape-Sexual Assault, Burglary of Habitation with Intent to Rape, and Burglary.

Enard is described as 6’0” tall, 155 lbs, with a scar on his forehead, face and left knee.. If you come in contact with him, do not attempt to apprehend him. He is considered armed and dangerous.
