Vermilionville Christmas celebration tomorrow

Offering fun for the whole family

Friday, December 14, 2012 - 3:41pm

Vermillionville is hosting a Christmas celebration to get families in the holiday spirit tomorrow from 10 am to 4 pm.  There will be plenty to keep the kids busy including hands-on gingerbread cookie decorating, a bousillage ornament workshop, Christmas caroling in the village, and a Christmas themed story time with authors Andy Hebert and Vicky Branton.

"It's very special because we're getting all the families to celebrate old time traditions of Christmas.  So all of the things that people would do either around Christmas or in the winter," says Rachelle Dugas, Events Coordinator at Vermilionville.

Some of these traditions include candle making, soap making, popcorn stringing for decorations as well as natural decorations.  The event will offer activities and fun for everyone in the family, and sneak education in there along with the fun.
